Priyanka, Vijay, Sonakshi react to Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation

Several Bollywood stars have reacted on social media after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Actresses Priyanka Chopra, Vijay Varma, Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika Arora, Prajakta Koli and many others have expressed their feelings regarding the incident.

Dharmendra Pradhan submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday amid the ongoing agitation over the NEET question paper leak allegations. His resignation was one of the main demands of the protesters who have been protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for over a month.

After the news of Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation broke, actress Sonakshi Sinha shared the news on her Instagram story using the applause emoji. Later, sharing a video of the protesting organization's founder Abhijit Deepak's reaction, she wrote, "Brother, what did you do!"

Actress Priyanka Chopra also shared the news of Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation on her Instagram story. She reacted with a few emojis in the caption.

Apart from this, in the comments section of a post that went viral on social media, actress and content creator Prajakta Koli wrote, ‘Big, Big, Big Win!’ Actresses Malaika Arora, Diana Penty, Shivani Akhtar and Tisca Chopra also welcomed the decision.

Comedian and actor Vir Das wrote in a short post on Instagram, ‘Friends’, along with the emoji of folded hands, the Indian national flag and a red heart. In the caption of the post, he wrote, ‘You have brought back a word from a short sentence from that book, which we read in school but forgot. Whatever happens in the future, you have won today. Celebrate now.’

Actor Vijay Varma posted a picture of Dharmendra Pradhan on his Instagram and quoted a line from the popular song Channa Mereya from the film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.  He wrote, 'Achha Chalta Hun... Doayon Mein Yaad Rakhna.'

Apart from Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, the demands of the agitators included compensation for the families of the students who committed suicide in the NEET question paper leak case and no legal action against the agitating students. The agitating organization claims that the central government has already assured them on these two issues.
